"Communicating Through Music"
The seminar is designed mainly for pianists, but the ideas espressed are relevant for other instrumentalists as well. It will be focused on the following topics:
- the principles of musical expression. Concepts of direction, melodic tension, harmonic tension, and perspective, applied to the musical performance;
- artistic communication from the stage. The use of gestures, timing and other elements to enhance non-verbal communication with the audience;
- verbal communication. Improving the artist's relationship with an audience, both on stage and off. Ideas to reinforce artistic communication through the press and social media;
- the composition of concert programs - choosing repertoire. How to build on personal strenghts and exploit one's individual artistic qualities while considering the needs of listeners and artistic directors.
The seminar will also include practical examples at the piano and individual lessons with each participant, depending on the number of the participants.

A non-refundable enrolment fee of 20,00 Euros, should be enclosed with each application. course participants may take meals at the Castle at a weekly rate per person of Euro 126. Accomodation, subject to availability, is charged at Euro 112 per week.
